Only Spanish speaking (fluent in Spanish) can understand this literature. The author was important to us since we knew that he had received a Nobel Prize in Literature around the 1950's, and was a Professor at the University of Puerto Rico around that time. We were High School students at the time and never had had the opportunity (time and inclination) to read this book. Now, in our older years we do have the time to enjoy such fine works of art.
A wonderful story. The book's okay too, but in any edition it would be a wonderful story.
Good practice for learning Spanish.
